While desiring to become familiar with the many great narratives and themes across the expanse of Scripture, it can be helpful in moments of trial and hardship (as well as joy and celebration) to have a timely verse we can recall to mind (“hidden in our hearts”- Psalm 119:11). I am focusing more on this aspect of my own devotional life this year and choosing a verse to meditate on each week. I pray that these ancient words will still speak their truth today no matter what challenges we face.
